Qianyu Fu is a multidisciplinary artist who started practicing in China and continued as she moved to Chicago. She uses construction materials, domestic objects, and assembly line products to make sculptures and installations. Her work is inspired by the contingency of truth across different cultural contexts. She is particularly drawn to the dynamic interplay between structure and materials that are inherently fragile or deceptive.

Qianyu received her MFA in Visual Art from the University of Chicago in 2024 and a BFA in photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2021.
