This academic year, to mark the decennial trifecta of the Venice Biennial, Documenta in Athens and Kassel, and Muenster Sculpture Fair, which coincides with both the “Year of Public Art” in Chicago and the new initiative to commission public art at the University of Chicago, the Open Practice Committee will present a series of conversations with artists, curators, and commissioners responsible for production of contemporary art in these three field-defining events. Rina Banerjee will kickstart this series in a public conversation with our new OPC Director, Laura Steward.
