"The here and there of Things"
Artist and DoVA alum Devin T. Mays (MFA 2016) returned to the Logan Center to give an artist talk hosted by the Open Practice Committee. During the OPC talk, Mays reflected on the lessons he learned during his time in graduate school which continue to influence his artistic practice and teaching.
Devin T. Mays (b. Detroit, MI) uses sculpture, installation, performance and pictures for pleasure. He refers to his practice as a place for things to become Things. Mays has exhibited and performed nationally and internationally. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Rice University. Mays lives and works between Galveston and Houston, TX.
