Event Description: 

Josephine Halvorson received her BFA from The Cooper Union in 2003, her MFA from Columbia University in 2007, and attended the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art and Music in 2002. Ms. Halvorson is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship to Vienna, Austria (2003-4), the Tiffany Foundation Award (2009), and a NYFA Fellowship in Painting (2010). She has enjoyed yearlong residencies in Paris as a Harriet Hale Woolley Fellow at the Fondation des Stats-Unis (2007-8), and in Brooklyn at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Space Program (2009-10). Ms. Halvorson’s work is represented by Sikkema Jenkins & Co., New York and Peter Freeman in Paris.  She currently serves as a Critic in the MFA program in Painting at Yale University.  She has also taught at Princeton and Cooper Union.
