In concert with the numerous art initiatives and think tanks on campus, our faculty regularly organize public conferences, symposia, and an array of activities that pertain to their work.

In the Fall of 2014, Laura Letinsky organized a one day symposium, Unsuspending Disbelief, that examined the status of photography today, bringing into together artists, curators, and art historians from around the world. Symposium participants included: Matthew Connors, Anthony Elms, Daniel Gordon, Shane Huffman, Martin Jay, Doug Ischar, Barbara Kasten, Deana Lawson, Laura Letinsky, Margaret Olin, Chris Mottalini, and Thomas Struth.
