Jurriaan Benschop (1963) is a Dutch essayist, art critic and curator living in Berlin.
He is a regular contributor to Artforum International, Elephant and other magazines
and the author of multiple publications, such as Reluctance to Reveal – A
Conversation with David Schutter (Berlin, 2017) and Francis Bacon, Graphic Work
(Eindhoven, 2014). Among the exhibitions he curated are Re: Imagining Europe, at
Box Freiraum, Berlin (fall 2017), A Painter's Hand at Donopoulos IFA, Thessaloniki,
Greece (2015) and Geist and Form – Ten Painters from Berlin at the Grunwald
Gallery, Bloomington, IN (2013).
